I use a -5 or a drop 5 bat against 14 and 15 year olds capable of pitching up to 80 mph fastballs and I can still get my bat through the ball in time. Throwing a baseball at this bat is like throwing a baseball at a trampoline because this bat has a lot of pop in it. This is a very good quality bat for baseball players who like speed.
